Plus Sizes and Full Figures :Love That Body

Love the body that you are in. Not the body that you want. Not the body that someone else has. But the body that is yours.

A few extra pounds does not make you unattractive or inactive. Somewhere down the line, being overweight has been linked to being less than or not good enough.

These theories are false and should be readily ignored. Being plus size or full figured is a body type. There is so much more to you than that.

Bring Out the Beauty In You!

Accentuate the beauty that is yours.

Look for fashions that complement your shape and body type.

Buy clothes for now rather than later.

Several years back I purchased some cute white jean shorts that I just knew I would fit into the following summer. Now granted, the shorts were six sizes too small, but I was being ambitious right? Wrong. I was being unrealistic.

Although, I knew the commitment was over the top I was still very sad when I did not reach my goal.

Setting the Bar Too High

My goal was simply ridiculous. It also overshadowed all of the good strides I’d made. I was working out regularly. Walking 5-7 miles a week. Eating better. These were huge accomplishments that should not have been over looked by an unrealistic goal.

Things to Remember

Do not let unrealistic goals deter you. Think big but in smaller increments.

For instance, if you are just starting to exercise, commit to exercising at least three times a week. That is a fair and realistic goal.

Committing to two hour workouts six days a week is not. You can definitely build up to that, but the key word here is build. Take it one day at a time.
