Emotional Eating Evaluation

If you are anything like me, you think about eating more when you are conciously trying to lose weight than when you aren’t making an effort at all.

You are also hungrier and have cravings for foods that are high in calories and leave you feeling sluggish.

Food and eating are at the forefront of your mind all day! Your mind is boggled with questions like,What am I going to eat?

Or Why can’t I eat like everyone else?

The last question is one that I asked myself for years.

Then I would get angry, frustrated, sad, and depressed. Starting the destructive cycle of emotionally eating all over again.

Until one day I got it.

Eating In Freedom, by Tom McGregor is an easy read and assisted me in helping to define the issues surrounding emotional eating and my obsession with food.

To learn more about this great E Book Click Here! If you are unsure of whether or not you are an emotional eater, take this quick quiz below.

Do you often find yourself eating between meals?

Do you find yourself snacking late at night?

Do you eat less than an hour before bedtime at least three times a week?

Do you snack even when you are not hungry?

Do you find yourself craving sweets when you are stressed, angry or anxious?

If you answered yes to three or more of these questions, more than likely you are an emotional eater. Knowing is half the battle. Having the tools and resources to do something about it is the other half.
