Is Emotional Eating Causing A Weight Gain Epidemic?

Emotional eating is a topic worth exploring. Experts say that Americans need to exercise more and eat less. Food is readily at our disposal. Many of us consume enormous amounts of unhealthy foods simply because we can.

Most people don’t consider emotions when they look at someone who is overweight. However, emotional distress can cause people to turn toward the unhealthy habit of overeating.

The idea of such an addiction may seem ridiculous to some, but when you are surviving it daily, you know that emotional overeating can be placed in the same category as alcoholism and drug abuse.
